The purpose-built Triodome housed the Hastings Embroidery which told the story of the 900 years from the Battle of Hastings in 1066 to its commemoration in 1966.

Hastings Corporation built the Triodome on the Pier in 1966 to house The Hastings Embroidery, which was sewn by women from the Royal College of Needlework to commemorate the 900th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
