Research Document on Hastings Embroidery in the Triodome on Hastings Pier in 1966

The purpose-built Triodome housed the Hastings Embroidery which told the story of the 900 years from the Battle of Hastings in 1066 to its commemoration in 1966.

In 1966, the Hastings Corporation built the Triodome on the parade extension to house The Hastings Embroidery, it was produced by the Royal School of Needlework as the main feature of the 1966, 900 year celebrations of The Battle of Hastings. It was the suggestion of Group Captain Ralph Ward, the Celebrations Organiser.
