Family stroll on the New Palace Pier in the 1930s

This is a photo of my mother aged about 14 with her younger brother and her parents, my grandparents. She was born in 1922 so I think this must have been taken in 1935/36 or thereabouts. I found out it was taken on the pier at St Leonards after I found another photo at https://gohomeonapostcard.wordpress.com/2012/04/09/new-palace-pier-walkie/ (which mentions the ‘walking picture’ kiosk there, so probably responsible for this photo).
I think she lived in London in the 1930s – and although I have lived most of my life in East Sussex, I don’t remember her ever mentioning her childhood holiday at the sea here!
